Within the eNewsletter Gateway, you have three main lists that update dynamically as contacts interact with your eNewsletters:
- All Contacts
- All Viewers
- All Subscibers
ALL CONTACTS
The All Contacts list will contain every contact you have within the Gateway; it will contain both your subscribers and non-subscribers. The only contacts that the "All Contacts" list does not contain are contacts that have either (A) unsubscribed or (B) hard bounced after a previously sent mailing.
We recommend sending to the All Contacts list when your goal is to grow your subscriber base or to inform a larger audience of a significant event or news. If you want to send to this list more often, we would recommend you add non-subscribers from your All Contacts list to mailings at a paced schedule in order for email service providers to get used to you sending emails at higher volumes. Doing so will assure more successful deliverability when sending to this list.
ALL VIEWERS
The All Viewers list contains all of the contacts that have viewed a mailing from you in the past. Similar to the All Contacts list, it does not contain any unsubscribers or hard bounced contacts. This list can be a good list to send to when attempting to grow your subscriber base as these contacts have previously opened your mail at least once and chosen not to unsubscribe.
It is important to note that anyone who falls into the All Viewers list will also fall under the All Contacts list as illustrated by the graphic above.
ALL SUBSCRIBERS
The All Subscribers list contains every contact within your Gateway account that has 'opted-in' to receiving your emails. These are the contacts most interested in your eNewsletter mailings and have demonstrated so by subscribing. We recommend sending to this list consistently, engaging your subscribers in many different ways with surveys, social media requests, events, news, etc.
If a contact would like to unsubscribe from your mailings, they can do so by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link found at the bottom of every one of your eNewsletters. This unsubscribe link cannot be removed due to federal law because of the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003.
